Timber for the PRO Series Recycled Oregon desk is reclaimed from construction sites and repurposed into desktops. The timber is up to 100 years old. It has a lovely warm orange tone that will lift the atmosphere of any workspace.
Each desktop offers unique grain patterns and characteristics for people interested in beauty as well as function and environmental sustainability. Our furniture makers are a team of artisans who produce unique handmade recycled timber desktops especially for UpDown Desk. Environmentally resourceful and locally made, they use traditional joinery methods such as mortise and tenon joins to ensure structural integrity.
This solid wood desktop is a generous 27mm thick with a pencil bullnose edge type and a square corner. It features reinforced bars on the underside of the desktop for additional strength.
Our market leading PRO Series frames combine outstanding engineering with the latest technology in motor and digital height control - including 4 height memory buttons for easy height adjustment. The frame weight exceeds that of all standing desk competitors providing exceptional stability at full height (up to 127cm), with an unrivalled lifting capacity of 150kg.

TIMBER ORIGIN & CONSTRUCTION
Sustainable Sourced: The timber is sourced from local demolition sites and then de-nailed and painstakingly sanded back to reveal the life that is still in the timber.
Protective Coat: Each piece of timber goes through multiple sanding processes and then receives 3 coats of varnish and hand-staining (where applicable), for a smooth polish finish. Imperfections such as nail holes are filled with a tough dark epoxy.
Steel Bar Reinforcements: The desktop comes with steel reinforcement bars on the base for added structural integrity. The bars prevent any movement between the joined pieces of timber.

Installation Made Easy
Our standing desks are very easy to set up, with most customers able to complete their own installation in approximately 30 minutes using our video.
Our desktops include pre drilled holes to assist with assembly. This enables clear-cut assembly of the frame, as well as make it easy to disassemble and move, if required.
