The UpDown Rustic Scatter Board desktop is an eye-catching desk full of character and handmade by artisan furniture makers right here in Melbourne. Constructed from reclaimed local timber, each desktop offers unique grain patterns and characteristics for people interested in beauty as well as function and environmental sustainability. The scatter board top consists of endless character, this is achieved through different colours and textures of timber. This makes a stand out piece, no matter the room it's in.
This desktop has the construct of a hand made old fashioned veneer, with 5mm of Reclaimed Australian Hardwood on top of a plywood substrate. Complemented with a 18mm edging border encasing the panel work.

DESKTOP CONSTRUCTION
Sustainable Sourced: The timber is sourced from local demolition sites and then de-nailed and painstakingly sanded back to reveal the life that is still in the timber.
Protective Coat: Each piece of timber goes through multiple sanding processes and then receives multiple coats of varnish and hand-staining. Imperfections such as nail holes are filled with a tough dark epoxy.
Threaded Inserts: The desktop comes with preinstalled threaded inserts, for ease of installation when inserting the screws and providing a stronger bond between the frame and desktop.

Installation Made Easy
Our standing desks are very easy to set up, with most customers able to complete their own installation in approximately 30 minutes using our video.
Our desktops include pre drilled holes to assist with assembly. This enables clear-cut assembly of the frame, as well as make it easy to disassemble and move, if required.
